Dewey Defeats Truman

Red Dye No.5's James Reader (bass, vocals) and Scott Frazier (drums) met (Luper’s) Mark MacBride (guitar, vocals) at their local hangout the World-Famous Casbah - as fans of each other's bands - and began to write songs together. Soon enough the trio recorded and toured - playing opening slots for Jesus Lizard, Jimmy Eat World, Archers of Loaf, Kelley Deal and a slew of other notable acts. 

The early 2000's saw the band recording for Silver Girl and the now defunct Has Anyone Ever Told You? label. The band did multiple regional and U.S. tours, playing showcases at N.X.N.W in Portland, S.X.S.W. in Austin, and the C.M.J. Music Festival in New York City before the band took an extended break in 2002. 

Since a couple of showcase reunion shows in 2018 and 2019, the band has been working on new material and has just released "The Way You Shatter," a fantastic 5 song E.P. with 2 bonus digital songs here on Silver Girl.
